Emergency Medical Associates of Florida, LLC is a privately owned, democratic group of
Board Certified physicians. We staff the emergency departments of Bayfront Medical Center and St. Anthony’s Hospital in St.
Petersburg, FL and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
Our History
In 1999, the privately owned ED group at St. Joseph’s Hospital merged with the
ED physicians at St. Anthony’s Hospital to form Emergency Medical Associates of Florida, LLC. In the fall of the same
year, the ED physicians at Bayfront Medical Center joined EMAF, thus completing our union of 43 full time and 16 part
time physicians, 30 physician extenders, and a fully functioning administrative staff.

Our Management
The members of our administrative team have specialized expertise in the management of
medical practices, billing procedures, managed care contracting, and compliance procedures. After combining their expertise
with the medical knowledge and experience of our clinical staff, we have developed comprehensive systems to insure efficiency
and proper reimbursement in billing procedures, with attention to all government compliance regulations.
